About Gentle Greenery

 

This shop (originally founded as Plants for Pet Parents in 2023) was inspired by my late dog, Watson, and my love for houseplants. I realized that I hadn't come across a business specifically focused on pet-safe plants. I wanted to make it easy for pet parents to shop for plants without worrying about whether they're toxic or accidentally falling in love with a plant outside of the pet-friendly section. So every plant on the site is classified by the ASPCA and/or scientific sources as non-toxic for dogs and cats. We make it easy to safely beautify your home!

But Gentle Greenery isn't just for pet parents! Our lovingly curated shop is for anyone who wants a non-toxic, safe, and welcoming home. Our plants and products are also perfect for families with curious young kids, caregivers creating cozy spaces, or anyone who values a healthier environment without potential risks for visitors. Whether you're a parent or simply someone who wants peace of mind, this shop was built to support your journey towards a greener home.

The shop also features a unique range of eco-friendly pots and planters to display your new plants. Supporting other small businesses and offering more sustainable options is an important part of the company's ethos. I hope you'll have fun mixing and matching our plants and pots and sharing them with friends and family!
